# ----- jan 31 -----------

did the things to do below

# --------------- Things to do ---------->

* add forks, File::Copy, File::Path, File::chmod, DBI, DBD::SQLite to requirements
* make sure SQLite is created
* make sure cgi-bin/yote and cgi-bin/yote/yote.cgi have the correct permissions
* copy example files as well. Maybe to a yote directory off of htdocs.
* make hello.html into index.html
* create ec2 image for my instance

# ---------------- because of -------------#

jan 30th, 2012 :

  I set up an ec2 instance and tried to cpan Yote, but it did not work all
that well. There were a few dependency issues :
  * fork
  * File::chmod
  * DBD::SQLite (due to a lacking DBI)

 after resolving those, yote_server still did not run :

DBI connect('db=/usr/local/yote/SQLite.yote.db','',...) failed: unable to open database file at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1/Yote/SQLiteIO.pm line 39
Creating table objects
Can't call method "do" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1/Yote/SQLiteIO.pm line 76.
 at /usr/local/bin/yote_server line 21
        main::__ANON__('Can\'t call method "do" on an undefined value at /usr/local/s...') called at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.1/Yote/SQLiteIO.pm line 76
        Yote::SQLiteIO::init_datastore('Yote::SQLiteIO=HASH(0x9a8d0a0)') called at /usr/local/bin/yote_server line 43

The database was not installed properly
root@ip-10-243-121-128:~/proj/Yote# file /usr/local/yote
/usr/local/yote: SQLite 3.x database

after moving the sqlite database, things started up on the yote_server, but not
the cgi. That had the wrong permissions :

root@ip-10-243-121-128:~/proj/Yote/sample# ls -al /usr/lib/cgi-bin/yote/yote.cgi
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 640 2012-01-31 03:39 /usr/lib/cgi-bin/yote/yote.cgi

also the permissions of the subdirectory off of cgi-bin were wrong :
ls -al /usr/lib/cgi-bin/
total 28
drwxr-xr-x  3 root root  4096 2012-01-31 03:39 .
drwxr-xr-x 73 root root 20480 2012-01-31 03:54 ..
d---------  2 root root  4096 2012-01-31 03:39 yote

The hello example also needed modification to run, but it did run!

# ------------ working on --------

# ------------ triage ------------

# ----------- tasks --------------

- management panel server to manage
    * accounts
    * apps
    * statistics (logins,etc)

- panel for creating accounts, logging in and setting personal data.

# --------------------------------

* added login and create account to tests.

Version 0.2 - application service
    * create forked, sharing variable generic application that can access installed applications
    * add Yote::Obj::is_parent_of (this will be useful for application security, like providing ownership of objects to application users
    * Application Service
         - server that
           : takes two requests : commands and data requests
           : runs a polling loop to see if there are commands to apply.

    * Application Base
      - provides object

Version 0.1 - initial verion.
  This is a base G library that :
    * connects to a mysql database named sg
    * Provides the following API
       - Yote::ObjServ::get_root
       - new Yote::Obj
       - $g_obj->save
       - get_(var) on Yote::Obj instance (root is one)
       - set_(var) on Yote::Obj instance (root is one)
    * has a series of unit tests

# ---=== test app ===--- #
 How about a feature idea generator for a first app. It functions in 3 stages
   - toss in ideas. These are added to a big pool of all ideas
   - triage ideas. These are added to the hot tub of ideas slated for implementation
   - implementing ideas - ideas currently underway from the hot tub. This is the kiddy pool.

Version 0.3 - cached G

Version 0.4 - configured G with installer

Features needed :
  * load deep for objects
  * configuration for databases et all
  * Caching Service - used by application service on top of the ObjServ
