  <div class="section_header">Checking TaskForest Status</div>
  <p>
    To get the status of all currently running and recently run jobs,
    enter the following command:
  </p>

  <div class="code"><pre><code>status

OR

status <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#log_dir">--log_dir</a>=/foo/logs <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#family_dir">--family_dir</a>=/foo/families

OR

status <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#log_dir">--log_dir</a>=/foo/logs <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#family_dir">--family_dir</a>=/foo/families \
<a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#collapse">--collapse</a></code></pre></div>

  <p>
    If the <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#collapse">--collapse</a> option is used then pending repeat jobs will not be
    displayed.
  </p>

  <p>
    The ``status'' command also accepts a ``--date'' option, in which case
    it displays all the jobs that ran for that date. The date must be in
    the ``YYYYMMDD'' format:
  </p>

  <div class="code"><pre><code>status <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#log_dir">--log_dir</a>=/foo/logs <a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#family_dir">--family_dir</a>=/foo/families \
--date 20090201</code></pre></div>

  <p>
    If the date specified is not the same as the current date, the
    ``<a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#collapse">--collapse</a>'' option doesn't make any sense, because there can't be
    any pending jobs for a date in the past.
  </p>

  <p>
    When displaying the status for days in the past, there is no way for
    the system to know what time zone the jobs were scheduled for. This is
    because the corresponding family file could have changed between the
    time that the job ran and the time that you're running the status
    command. To resolve this, the system will always display jobs in the
    time zone specified by the '<a href="/docs/configuring/options.html#default_time_zone">default_time_zone</a>' option. If the default
    time zone is not specified, its default value is
    ``America/Chicago''.
  </p>

    To check the status for the current day's jobs, direct your browser
