<h2>Periode-specificaties</h2>
<p>In EekBoek kunnen periodes op verschillende manieren worden
opgegeven, afhankelijk van de context.</p>
<p>Op een enkele uitzondering na wordt een periode aangeduid met twee
datums, gescheiden door een streepje '<code>-</code>'.</p>
<blockquote class="code">2007-01-01 - 2007-12-31</blockquote>
<p>In veel gevallen kan overbodige informatie, b.v. een jaartal,
worden weggelaten:</p>
<blockquote class="code">01-01 - 31-12-2007</blockquote>
<p>Als het jaartal kan worden afgeleid uit de context, dan mag het
helemaal worden weggelaten:</p>
<blockquote class="code">01-01 - 31-12</blockquote>
<p>Meer vriendelijke vormen:</p>
<blockquote class="code">1 januari 2007 - 31 december 2007
1 jan 2007 - 31 dec 2007
1 jan - 31 dec
2007</blockquote>
<p>Een maand kan ook een periode vormen:</p>

jan - maart</blockquote>
