<A HREF=../../index.html>Portable Presenter</A> is a package designed to give
presentations. Not everyone is trained to give presentations, and certainly
not in combination with PPresenter.
This set of pages guides absolute beginners stepwise into a PPresenter-presentation.
Experienced speakers may skip the first chapters.
<P>
Giving a presentation is <EM>the</EM> most scary event for the average
person, above fear of heights and bugs (living bugs, to be specific).
Of course, a bit of tension is very useful: it keeps you concentration when
you speak. However, you easily get overstressed, which degrades your story.
The best way to reduce stress is <EM>be prepared!</EM>.
<P>
With the danger of being boring and over-detailed, I'll guide you through all
steps of a presentation:
<UL>
<LI>Defining the <A HREF=define.html>subject</A> and target;
    <UL>
    <LI>What is the <A HREF=define.html#subject>subject?</A>.
    <LI>What is the <A HREF=define.html#message>message?</A>.
    <LI>Know your <A HREF=define.html#audience>audience</A>.
    <LI>Know your <A HREF=define.html#environment>environment</A>.
    <LI>Know your <A HREF=define.html#equipment>equipment</A>.
    <LI>Level of <A HREF=define.html#detail>detail</A>.
    </UL>
<LI><A HREF=design.html>Designing</A> the speach;
    <UL>
    <LI><A HREF=design.html#detail>Detail</A> on the slides.
    <LI><A HREF=design.html#number>Number</A> of slides.
    <LI>Design the slides on <A HREF=design.html#paper>paper</A>.
    </UL>
<LI>Developing the slides with PPresenter:
    <UL>
    <LI><A HREF=create.html>Initiation</A>,
        <UL>
        <LI><A HREF=create.html#filling>Filling</A> your Slides.
        <LI><A HREF=create.html#start>Getting Started</A> with PPresenter.
        </UL>
    <LI><A HREF=style.html>Selecting a style</A>,
    <LI><A HREF=slide.html>Adding slides</A>,
    <LI><A HREF=change.html>Changing the defaults</A>.
        <UL>
        <LI><A HREF=change.html#overrule_style>Overrule</A> the style-element for one slide.
        <LI><A HREF=change.html#change_style>Set</A> a new default for a style-element.
        <LI><A HREF=change.html#change_option>Change</A> the default for an option.
        </UL>
    </UL>
<LI>Scheduling the presentation:
    <UL>
    <LI><A HREF=timing.html>Timing</A>,
        <UL>
        <LI><A HREF=timing.html#notes>Slide notes</A>.
        <LI><A HREF=timing.html#specs>Time specifications</A>.
        </UL>
    <LI><A HREF=tagging.html>Tagging</A>.
    </UL>
<LI>Preparations on <A HREF=dday.html>the day</A> itself.
    <UL>
    <LI><A HREF=dday.html#first>First</A> time?
    <LI><A HREF=dday.html#afterwards>After</A> the presentation.
    </UL>
</UL>
Of course, this is only my personal view, but at least it is an educated view.

The start: <A HREF=define.html>Define a Subject</A>.
