### Much of what is in this file is incorrect, since release 0.04
which does not use OAI.  I leave it to Marc the Debian Guru to fix
this.


DEBIAN INSTALLATION

You need to install the following debian perl modules:

   libwww-perl libxml-sax-writer-perl 

You need to package and install the CPAN HTTP::OAI module
before building and installling the libalvis-pipeline-perl*.deb package

   dh-make-perl .
   dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
   sudo dpkg -i libhttp-oai-perl_3.08-1_all.deb 


On debian systems, you can issue the following commands when standing in 
the source dir of Alvis::Pipeline

   dh-make-perl .
   dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
   sudo dpkg -i libalvis-pipeline-perl*.deb

In case that the test target fails, try uncommenting the line      

  $(MAKE) test

in debian/rules and proceed with dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

Check sucessfull installation by issuing 

perl  -MAlvis::Pipeline



WITHOUT INSTALLATION
If you do not wish to install globally, you can run the stuff using the command

perl -x install/dir MAlvis::Pipeline alvis-pipeline-put.pl 12344 spool1
