encpassw.pl - Encrypts password in
Reads the value of a property
password in a configuration file ('a la'
and rewrites the value with the result of its encryption.
.ini configuration files are those with a syntax compatible with
and briefly this means:
#are comments and are ignored. Also, blank lines are ignored. Use this for readability purposes.
One property/value pair per line.
See Config::IniFiles for detailed information about syntax.
perl encpassw.pl --inifile=<ini_file> --section=<section_name_of_ini_file_with_password_param> [--key=<encryption_decryption_key> ] [--cipher=<encryption_decryption_algorithm> ]
Name or pathname of file whose password value have to be encrypted. It doen't need to have
.ini in its name.
Section name in
inifile where the
password property is.
Encryption / Decryption key in clear form. Use the same value with
Name of an installed cipher algoritm. Cipher algorithms live in namespace
If not specified, default is
Crypt::Blowfish. It must be installed.
