Changes for version 1.57 - 2006-12-20

Fixes courtesy of Michael J. Pomraning Eliminates self joins. Eliminates multiple, simultaneous joins on a thread. Protects thread->state variable with mutexes. Checks that OS join call is successful.

Perl interpreter-based threads

To install threads, copy and paste the appropriate command in to your terminal.

cpanm threads

perl -MCPAN -e shell
install threads
