NAME

Paws::CodeBuild::EnvironmentVariable

USAGE

This class represents one of two things:

Arguments in a call to a service

Use the attributes of this class as arguments to methods. You shouldn't make instances of this class. Each attribute should be used as a named argument in the calls that expect this type of object.

As an example, if Att1 is expected to be a Paws::CodeBuild::EnvironmentVariable object:

  $service_obj->Method(Att1 => { Name => $value, ..., Value => $value  });

Results returned from an API call

Use accessors for each attribute. If Att1 is expected to be an Paws::CodeBuild::EnvironmentVariable object:

  $result = $service_obj->Method(...);
  $result->Att1->Name

DESCRIPTION

Information about an environment variable for a build project or a build.

ATTRIBUTES

REQUIRED Name => Str

  The name or key of the environment variable.

Type => Str

  The type of environment variable. Valid values include:
  • PARAMETER_STORE: An environment variable stored in Amazon EC2 Systems Manager Parameter Store.

  • PLAINTEXT: An environment variable in plaintext format.

REQUIRED Value => Str

  The value of the environment variable.

We strongly discourage using environment variables to store sensitive values, especially AWS secret key IDs and secret access keys. Environment variables can be displayed in plain text using tools such as the AWS CodeBuild console and the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI).
