keytest - Manual event and state generator for Peep: The Network Auralizer
keytest is a utility for testing and experimenting with a Peep installation. It allows you to play server sounds by mapping keys to various events and states. The mapping is as follows:
Row 1234567890 changes the volume of the next state sound.
Row qwertyuiop[]\\ plays events 0-12.
Row asdfghjkl;' plays events 13-24.
Row zxcvbnm,./ plays states 0-9.
Row !@#$%^&*()_+ changes the next stereo location (left - right).
Row QWERTYUIOP{}| changes the next event's priority.
Row ASDFGHJKL:" changes the next event's dither time.
This application allows you to get a good feel for how your sound theme sounds all together, as well as server performance.
keytest supports the basic client options:
--server=[HOST] The host (or IP address) to connect to
--port=[PORT NO] The port to use
--debug=[NUMBER] Enable debugging. (Def: 0)
--silent Does not produce output. To eliminate all output,
either the debug option should be set to 0 or
an output file should be specified.
--help Prints a simple help message
keytest keytest --server=localhost --port=2001
